9–13 April 2013, South Africa, Cape Town – 9th AAGL International Congress on Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery
The Local Organising Committee in partnership with the Southern African Society for Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy (SASREG) is honoured to be selected by the AAGL board to host this congress and welcomes you to the shores of Africa to “BROADEN YOUR SCOPE IN AFRICA”. The Scientific Committee has developed a programme that incorporates trilogy sessions. In each trilogy session three experts will present a paper relating to the topic of interest. The programme will incorporate new cuttng edge technologies such as robotic surgery, SILS and advanced imaging techniques. It will explore challenging surgical techniques used in the management of rectovaginal endometriosis, oncology and advanced hysteroscopy. The scientific programme will also be geared towards gynaecologists who are eager to expand the endoscopic component of their practises. In this respect, workshops demonstrating surgical techniques like hysterectomy, ovarian and tubal surgery and hysteroscopy will be discussed by leaders in the field. There will also be sessions aimed at Reproductive Medicine Specialists to aid decision making when using surgery as an adjunct to IVF treatment. There will be special interest sessions on Urogynaecology, Gynae-Oncology, Recurrent Miscarriage, complications and Medicolegal problems and Ethics.
